The Anvik River, west of the Yukon, allows access during the summer by barge and float plane. The city would like to develop additional dock and harbor facilities. The state-owned gravel airstrip provides year-round access. Three miles of local roads are used by all-terrain vehicles, snow machines, and dog teams.
